Listening Room: Giant Steps

Trying to get inside this tune and get it up to a reasonable tempo. Metheny does some pretty incredible stuff with that funky time signature at a slower tempo; that falls under the “own it” category. I’m pretty sure the version attributed to Scofield is not him, it’s a bass!  And of course there’s the obligatory, heinous vocalist penned lyrics version. Some awesome harmonies in there amidst the cringeworthy words. I’m also curious to see how the grooveshark widget ends up looking. As long as the artist and tune name are visible. Enjoy!
