McGulliver is live

Here are the links you’ve all been waiting for:

Mcgulliver: Part One
McGulliver: Part Two

McGulliver is the result of a crash course in movie making I undertook with Bojerm a couple of years ago. Point of pride: the music soundtrack was done entirely on a Linux box using Ardour and various other FOSS tools. Video editing was all done at SCAT on their macs with FCE. My goal is to complete the whole movie making process with open source software from start to finish. Currently looking at video editors, leaning toward blender‘s Video Sequence Editor. We have some new footage in the can already, but might need a few more shoots to produce a complete episode.

Writer Having studied Japanese and other non-roman alphabet using languages, I appreciate the particular frustrations of language learners in the computer world. I enjoy helping people get their multilingualization going, no matter what operating system or desktop environment they happen to be in. Being an open source enthusiast, I push uim and anthy without reservation in *nix environments. Although lately, ibus has made things easy in modern Linux distributions, to the point of making much of these old posts moot.
